The final 3 games are fast approaching, and with the blues currently sitting in 6th position, it's time for the final push for promotion. With everyone around us due to play each other, and with us facing fellow play-off opposition in our final 2 games of the season, our season can switch around very quickly! If we lose or draw just 1-2 of our final games, we risk losing our place in the play-offs. If we win most of our remaining games, then we stand a very good chance of securing our place in the play-offs. The division this year has been one of the tightest, most unpredictable seasons that this league has seen in a while, and it could all very much change in the next few weeks.

This means that your support is even more vital than ever. The last two home games (vs Oxford and Torquay), and at our last away game (vs Cheltenham), the support from the Southend fans has been at a very high level & the players have acknowledged the fantastic support from the Southend fans via Twitter and post match interviews.

It goes to show you that the players do feel the effects of the whole crowd getting behind you, willing you onto victory, and pushing you further up the table, which is exactly why we need to unite together as one for these final 5 games, and mount a very serious challenge for promotion. On Saturday, we need to be even louder than ever, and ensure that Southend have the advantage of the 12th man on their side.

Up the Blues!
