TBV against Oxford

Whilst Saturday's game against Oxford will no doubt be the biggest talking point of the day, there's another match taking place in the morning, which has a lot more at stake than just 3 points......

Members of The Blue Voice will be taking part in a match vs Oxford United's fans, in the first of what we hope to be many "fan games" against opposing clubs' fans. Last season, TravelZone (TZ) took a team of fans to Oxford's ground and won 3-1, and The Blue Voice are looking to ensure that our 100% record against their fans remains intact after Saturday's game.

Our brand new TBV football kits, kindly donated by SX Sports and sponsored by TravelZone, will be on display during the match. Managed by Scott Wallace and Josh Smith, the team consists of the following players;

Scott Peters (TrueBlue), Dan Sanders (Tarquin), James Driscoll, Edan Farmer, Robert Spooner, Ryan Smyth, James Radziusz, Dan Wolfendale (Wolfy), Dan McEvoy, Tim Dean, Mitch McEvoy, Will Simpson, Scott Wallace (C), and Josh Smith.

The match will be taking place at the Old Southendians FC ground, located at Warner Bridge (click here to see map), and kick-off will be at 10-30am. So if you're at a loose end on Saturday morning and don't know what to do, come on down and support The Blue Voice - we would absolutely love to see as many Shrimpers down there as possible!

Up TBV!

Onto the Southend vs Oxford game in the league, and it's vital that we get behind the team and get back into form again. The past few weeks have seen what this team is capable of, with the likes of Payne, Weston, and Worrall all looking to prove themselves in this league, but the whole team need our backing.

Whilst this Saturday is not as massive a game for us, the team haven't been firing on all cylinders recently, and it's time to turn this around. Its time to get out of this horrendous league, get bigger crowds and play attractive football. And we can be a part of that by singing our hearts out for 90 minutes throughout this season.

Lets get ourselves up this table and kick on from Saturday. Everyone has to do their bit. So we urge you against Oxford to get involved not necessarily in W block but wherever you are in the ground.

Together we are The Blue Voice, there isn't a us and them situation, we all support our club, Southend United. And thats what matters, backing our team win, lose or draw. So we'll see you and hear you on Saturday and watch what I'm sure will be a brilliant game of football.

Up the Blues!
